COVID-19 TRAVEL WAIVER

The 2019 Novel Coronavirus pandemic ("COVID-19") is a known and rapidly evolving pandemic that is affecting travel worldwide with continued spread and impacts expected. Client is fully aware of this current global COVID-19 virus outbreak, the current travel restrictions, and inherent risks involved if choosing to travel. Client understands that it is his/her responsibility to check the latest travel information regarding this virus outbreak with the CDC: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices.

 

The Travel Empire and its Travel Advisors have provided clients with the best available information as it relates to COVID-19, protective policies, practices of the suppliers involved in planning clients’ vacations, tours, cruises and events. The client/lead traveller (you) understands that suppliers, tour vendors, airlines, cruiselines hotels, villas, travel vendors, may not apply those policies as diligently as the policies suggest. Even if the supplier makes a good faith effort to enforce its good practices some travellers may simply refuse to cooperate. You acknowledge that The Travel Empire and its Travel Advisors are not responsible and/or liable for the actions of suppliers and travellers resulting in clients contracting COVID-19 or any other pandemic or health issues.

Client is aware of the travel warnings, travel restrictions and protocols and understands the risks, is accepting of these and holds The Travel Empire harmless for any travel restrictions, deaths, illness, cancellations by suppliers, hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators or any other travel provider, financial loss, quarantining rules or measures put in place at airports or destinations you are traveling through. Client further agrees to hold The Travel Empire harmless for any financial penalties or fees imposed by the suppliers, hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour agencies or any other travel provider due to cancellations or postponements due to COVID-19. Client is aware that additional screening procedures and restrictions may take place at airports and in public areas. Client is aware that these restrictions may include mandatory face coverings and/or temperature checks in airports, hotels, cruise ships, trains or other means of transport and in some cases mandatory vaccines. Client is aware that immigration restrictions may be put in place before or during your travels that may impede your ability to enter or exit your destination as planned.

Client is aware that it is his/her personal decision to travel and is doing so with full knowledge of current travel recommendations and travel restrictions with regards to COVID-19 and takes full responsibility for his/her actions in this regard. Client further acknowledge that the supplier’s own cancellation, rebooking and refund  policies, subject to any applicable law that is now or may later be in effect, will govern your rights and remedies, including your right to receive a refund, in such an event. Moreover, client understands that should you elect to purchase travel insurance, the terms of the policy will dictate whether, and to what extent, coverage for any financial loss may exist under the circumstances.

 

CLIENT IS AWARE THAT IF HE/SHE TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, CLIENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO QUARANTINE AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE EITHER IN DESTINATION OR UPON RETURN TO DESTINATION. CLIENT FURTHER AGREES TO HOLD THE TRAVEL EMPIRE HARMLESS FOR ANY FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OR ANY EXPENSE THAT MAY OCCUR.
