Walt Disney World Resort is located near Orlando, Florida. The closest airport is Orlando International Airport (MCO) and it’s about thirty minutes away depending on the time of day. Visitors to Disney World might not be familiar with the layout of the resort or the parks that make up the Disney-themed area. There are four Disney World parks, and they are all easily accessible by car, boat, or even foot. Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios are the four different theme parks that make up Orlando, Florida's Walt Disney World.
Magic Kingdom Park
One of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, Disney's Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort is also known as "The Happiest Place on Earth." It is one of the most well-known theme parks in the world and the place where all your dreams come true.
Six diverse lands, each with its own special attractions and theming, make up Magic Kingdom Park. It takes some time to become familiar with all 6 areas, but once you do, you'll quickly feel at home and be taken back in time to your younger years, and I mean it in a good way!
Magic Kingdom® Park's magnificent fantasy lands, gut-busting roller coasters, and adored characters bring enchantment to life. Fly joyfully through the air on Dumbo the Flying Elephant®, be enchanted by Cinderella's Castle during a fireworks display, and meet the Disney Princess that inspires you most.
Your vacation to Magic Kingdom will be unique and full of special memories thanks to the parades, rides, shows, vintage attractions, special events, tours, and restaurants.
Animal Kingdom
Of the four theme parks of Walt Disney World, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is the most unique and magnificent. Prepare to go to exotic locales such as the Asian jungle, the African savanna, and even other planets, all without ever leaving Orlando!
It is home to six unique lands that explore both fictitious worlds with dinosaurs and alien plants and creatures, as well as actual locations with species found there, such as Africa and Asia. It is a blend of zoological displays and amusement park rides.
The majesty of nature is celebrated at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park in a heady fusion of exotic creatures and untamed entertainment. Adventure for all ages is promised by the attractions and rides, which range from the spine-tingling Expedition Everest — Legend of Forbidden Mountain® to the serenely gorgeous Na'vi River Journey. Characters and entertainment include meet-and-greet opportunities with cherished Disney friends as well as the mesmerizing after-dark Tree of Life® Awakenings presentation. Restaurants and eating experiences include marvels like the Rainforest Cafe®, an improbable jungle with great American cuisine and sudden downpours and thunder.
Epcot
At EPCOT, the magic of exploration, travel, and discovery of other worlds is vividly on show. Enjoy traditional German cuisine that will transport you to a Bavarian village as you wait for Mission: SPACE's takeoff on an intergalactic NASA-style adventure into space! While in Future World, explore the seas on The Seas with Nemo & Friends®, and hop aboard a prehistoric Nordic ship for a musical journey through the frozen land of Frozen.
Epcot consists of essentially two parks in one. Future World offers attractions that are located in separate buildings dedicated to space, fantasy, and life in the water. World Showcase offers 11 “pavilions” with views of the surrounding area and its restaurants, entertainment, and attractions along the beautiful coastal lagoon.
Your trip to Epcot theme park will be exceptional and unforgettable thanks to the special events and excursions, delicious restaurants, characters and entertainment, exhilarating attractions and rides, and magnificent evening fireworks display.
Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney's Hollywood Studios® promises great adventures and stimulates the imagination with entertainment, live performances, fireworks, thrilling attractions, immersive dining experiences, and special events and tours. It does this by bringing the energy of the Hollywood film industry to life.
The design of many of the buildings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is based on historic landmarks from the real Hollywood, especially at the entrance plaza. On opening day, Michael Eisner declared: “Welcome to the Hollywood that never was and always will be.”
You may sample the flavors and fragrances of a cantina in a galaxy far, far away at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. You may also sense the adrenaline that comes from taking control of the Millennium Falcon. Enter a wacky, vibrant cartoon world in Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway to join Mickey and Minnie on a runaway adventure. In Toy Story Land, you can shrink down to the size of a toy with Buzz and Woody and ride Slinky Dog through Andy's backyard.
One of the most well-liked family holiday destinations worldwide is Walt Disney World. It is also the biggest theme park in the country, stretching over 40 square miles, or roughly as big as San Francisco. We hope that this blog helped you get a sense of how much ground must be covered in such a huge theme park.
